Drones used at Manchester International Festival

One Sunday in July,  Lunar Aerial Imaging was involved in the Manchester International Festival 2017 (MIF), getting some drone shots of the positioning of the statue of Lenin as part of renowned Turner Prize winner Phil Collins’ piece, The Ceremony. The film, will be debuted as part of the 14-18 NOW season in 2018. We can’t wait.

Drones and the arts? Who would have thought it? But it doesn’t come easy – we had to get permission to fly in a highly congested area while sticking to all of the Civil Aviation Authorities guidelines, keep police, local prison and airport informed, and take all the necessary public safety precautions, all the while following the client’s brief and generating some creative footage.

And who is Phil Collins anyhow, you may ask. We suggest Wikipedia – try this link: https://goo.gl/iiZLm5
