Lunar Aerial Imaging can often be seen flying drones in and around Manchester. We are based just south of the city after all. The skyline is constantly changing and developing - we love to capture the cityscapes and discover the city from above.

Flying in the city centre certainly requires much more preparation than the countryside: more site assessments, extra permissions from landowners, extra crew members keeping the fly zone safe; sometimes we are required to contact the police, prisons, airport, CAA and even DJI (drone manufacturer). As well as working around the weather, we often need to fly at unusual hours, when the city is quiet or universities are closed. Our special enhanced CAA drone permission certainly helps - it gives us more freedom with regards to where we can fly and what we can capture, ideal for our clients.
